Bulgarian Drivers Confused over License Plate Changes

Bulgaria's drivers are now confused over the mixed reports regarding the fate of their license plates upon the country's EU accession.

The plates would have to be changed once more when Bulgaria enters the EU, some media reported, while traffic police officials negated it.

The confusion comes out from the fact that all the licence plates of the EU country members are required to have the Union's starred flag on the blue band in the right side, along with their country's flag and abbreviation. Currently Bulgaria's licence plates are up to all EU requirements, except for the flag, as the country is still not a member.
