Tomorrow begins the 39th annual convention of the North American Vexillological Association. As I am the convention chairman, I will be unable to post updates to this web log until next Tuesday. I am going to make up for that by giving your five days worth of "Flags of the Day" today.



Today is Armed Forces Day in Egypt; and Ivy Day in Ireland.



Friday is Cassinga Day in Namibia; and World Habitat Day.



Saturday is Navy Day in Peru.



Sunday is Guayaquil's Independence Day in Ecuador; Leif Erikson Day in Iceland; and Independence Day in Uganda.



Monday is National Day in the Republic of China, and Double Ten Day in Red China. It is also Fiji Day; Alexis Kivi's Birthday in Finland; and Oklahoma Day.
