Today is the birthday of President Martin Van Buren (1782), Walt Disney (1902), and Senator Strom Thurman (1902). This is the 72nd anniversary of the adoption of the 21st amendment to the US Constitution, repealing Prohibition. It is also Discovery Day in Haiti.
