Today is Veterans Day in the United States; and Armistance/Remembrance Day in Belgium, Canada, France, the United Kingdom and the British Commonwealth. It is also Independence Day for Angola, Poland, and Rhodesia; the Anniversary of the Independence of Cartagena in Columbia; Freedom Fighters' Day in Latvia; Republic Day in the Maldives; and Statehood Day in Washington.
